A logo. We haz it.

IDDQD is a gaming community of mature people seeking to build friendships and in-game excellence among its members. We like playing games online with good people who like to have a fun time without worrying about ragers, rudeness, trolling, childish behavior*, and other unwelcome annoyances. As a result, we usually only accept members who are over the age of 25, but we will make exceptions if you can prove that you are a mature soul.

What does IDDQD Stand For?

Actually, it’s not an acronym – it’s a code, originally used in the classic FPS (First Person Shooter) game, Doom. Upon typing IDDQD, the player would activate God Mode – a set of enhancements to the player character which made the game incredibly easy to play. Most definitions will call IDDQD a cheat code – however, as it was built into the game, we like to think of the code as an easter egg. Similar to the Konami Code (which we’re not about).

We’re about getting people together to play games.

Just like IDDQD made Doom possible to beat, we believe community and good sportsmanship makes the current generation of online multiplayer games possible to enjoy. Community is the ultimate IDDQD.

We started out at the end of 2011 (we’re currently brand new!) playing League of Legends and not being able to find a consistent group of people to battle with us. However, we also play games like Diablo II, StarCraft II, Dungeon Defenders, and Minecraft, with plans to play Diablo III and possibly other games in the future.

We will never play college frat/bromance games like Gears of War, Call of Duty or Battlefield. There are plenty of gaming clans out there for this purpose. No offense to the college frats and bromancers out there.

If you’re interested in joining, feel free to register an account and we will play games with you to determine if you’re a good fit for our community!

* Such behavior does not mean we don’t joke around or act childish so long as it does not impede our gaming experiences. So feel free to act like a total moron as long as you play like a proper teammate. 🙂
